NSFC Projects Approved and Funded
Recently, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) issued the project approval notice of NSFC regional innovation and development joint fund. Our university has been granted three key support projects with a total direct funding of about 4.6 million yuan.
"Basic research on multi-source metallurgical dust cascade recovery of valuable elements and collaborative resource utilization" is independently undertaken by our university and presided over by Professor Zhang Yuzhu, with a direct funding of 2.57 million yuan. The implementation of the project will enrich the basic theory of multi-source and multi-phase metallurgical dust disposal, breaking through the technical bottleneck of metallurgical dust from generation to full resource disposal, and promoting the green and sustainable development of iron and steel enterprises. Over the years, Professor Zhang Yuzhu's team, relying on the Key Laboratory of modern metallurgical technology of the Ministry of education and the collaborative innovation center of energy conservation and emission reduction key technology of iron and steel industry of the Ministry of education, has been committed to the research of metallurgical energy conservation and resource optimization, undertaken a number of national science and technology support plans, national major projects and National Natural Science Foundation projects, and fulfilled a series of scientific research and application achievements.
The key technology and system of network behavior measurement based on sketch, which was jointly applied by our university and Peking University, was approved. According to the cooperation agreement, Professor Chen Xuebin of the College of Science of our university undertakes part of the research, and the direct funding for scientific research is not less than 1 million yuan.
The project of "development of hypoxia microenvironment regulated stem cell transplantation carrier and Research on myocardial infarction repair and treatment" was jointly applied by our university and Tianjin University. According to the cooperation agreement, Professor Sun Hong of College of Basic Medicine of our university will undertake part of the research, and the direct funding for scientific research is not less than 1 million yuan.
Jointly funded by NSFC and local governments, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) joint fund for regional innovation and development aims to play the guiding role of NSFC, which will attract and gather superior scientific research forces, and focus on the major needs of regional economic and social development. Besides, it focuses on the key scientific issues in regional development to carry out basic research, promoting cross regional and sectoral collaborative innovation, improving China's regional independent innovation. Hebei Province signed an agreement with the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2020 to join the regional innovation and development joint fund.
