School Delegation Shines at Prestigious Vis (East) Moot International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition. Our school was recently represented at the esteemed Vis (East) Moot International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court competition, an annual event attracting top legal minds from around the globe. This year's competition, the 21st of its kind, took place from March 10th to 17th in Hong Kong, China.
Coached by Lu Yao, the esteemed dean of our School of Humanities and Law, the team comprised of Zhao Wangyuan, Chang Yanna, Gan Yusen, Liu Ying, and Xie Ziyi represented our institution exceptionally. Across the week-long event, our delegates engaged in scholarly exchange with students and faculty from notable international institutions, including students from Germany's University of Hanover and Fordham University.

The competition provides an invaluable platform for students to display their professional prowess, comprehensive capabilities, and strong ethos, with our school's competitors rising to the occasion. The International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, known formally as the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is held annually under the auspices of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, the University of Vienna, along with various other institutions.
Conducted in the English language, the competition seeks to promote the study of international commercial law and arbitration practices on a global scale, serving as one of the grandest stages for legal academia. Hosting a total of 149 teams from various countries and regions worldwide, the competition drew a diverse and talented pool of competitors.
Significantly, our school was the only institution representing North China in the event, marking a proud moment in our institution's history. The School of Humanities and Law is thrilled to credits the success of its Moot Court team and is looking forward to building upon this success in future competitions.
