i. Application Method

All those self-supporting international students shall apply directly to the International Education College of NCUST or our cooperative partners.

ii. Application Procedures

  1. Fill out the Application Form of NCUST, which can be downloaded from the NCUST website listed as below and send it together with the materials required to the E-mail address listed as below for application, or mail it directly to the International Education College of NCUST, and in the meantime transfer the application fee of RMB 400 Yuan to NCUST bank account.

  2. After receiving the application and relative materials, the International Education College of NCUST will send the admitted applicant an Admission Letter of NCUST and a Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) (the Physical Examination Report for Foreigner is needed if the duration of study in China is more than 6 months).

  3. After receiving the Admission Letter of NCUST, the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) and the Physical Examination Report for Foreigner, the admitted student shall then apply to the Chinese Embassy (or Consulate) in his or her own country for X visa (student visa), or F visa (visit visa) if the duration of study is less than 6 months, or L visa (travel visa) for those short-term students.

  4. The admitted student must bring the Admission Letter of NCUST, the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202), the Physical Examination Report for Foreigner and the original certificate of materials required for admission and register at the International Education College of NCUST during the registration time specified on the Admission Letter of NCUST. Students who do not register during the specified period will lose their student status. Exception can be made for those who have informed the school of their special reasons for not registering on time, and whose delay has been approved by the International Education College in advance.
