Overview
College of Clinical Medicine is one of the departments with the longest history in our university. The college has strong teaching resources and superior school conditions. There are 257 teachers, including 59 with doctoral degrees and 253 with senior titles. In this discipline team, there are 1 national outstanding teacher, 1 provincial-level teaching teacher, 7 people enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, 2 provincial-level outstanding experts, and 5 provincial-level outstanding contribution experts.
College has four undergraduate majors: clinical medicine, medical imaging, anesthesiology, and medical laboratory technology. Among them, clinical medicine is the first-level discipline that authorized for master's degree, and has the qualification for authorization of professional master's degree in clinical specialty.
The major of Surgery is a key discipline of the Provincial Department of Education, and the Internal Medicine is a key development discipline of the Provincial Department of Education. Respiratory department, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, and Geriatrics are provincial key clinical specialty construction units. Neurosurgery, Urology, Pathology, Hematology, General surgery, and Medical imaging are provincial key clinical specialty training units. Since 2016, the Clinical Medicine disciplines in our university have consistently ranked among the top 1% of ESI in the world.
The college is a national standardized training base for Resident Doctor, a training base for the Mine Rescue Center of the State Administration of Work Safety, a training base for General Practitioners in Hebei Province, a training base for graduate students with professional degrees in Clinical Medicine in Hebei Province, and a key laboratory of Medical engineering cooperation in Hebei Province. The comprehensive clinical skills training center of the school is a national off-campus practice education base for college students, and the first workstation of medical academician in Tangshan City is also located in the college The school currently has more than 2,000 undergraduates and over 300 graduates.
College pays attention to the cultivation of students’ practical ability, strives to improve students' clinical practice skills, and develop clinical practical talents. In recent years, the rate of passing postgraduate entrance examination and employment rate have always been in the forefront of university.
